vineswingman
Alright, I installed Kalyway 10.5.2; updated to 10.5.3 with the Kalyway combo update.... Now my understanding is that I can use apple software update to get to 10.5.4 (although, isn't it going to try to send me straight to 10.5.5 now that it's out?), but how to I install 10.5.5? I believe I'm using a patched kernel, on a quad core intel chip..

mac_aus01
i did this just then, yes you can update to 10.5.4 through the delta update (http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosx1054update.html'>http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosx1054update.html) use that link. Then to go to 10.5.5 you download it here: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosx1055update.html BUT (important) you need to do this: http://netkas.org/?p=50 I chose to monitor the file to delete the "AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext" file i had to be extremly quick because for some reason the 10.5.5 update suddenly said restart and i had no choice but to - it could of went bad. Follow all the steps in http://netkas.org/?p=50 and you will be on 10.5.5. So summary: - Kalyway 10.5.2 (done) - Update to 10.5.3 with the Kalyway combo update.... (done) - Update via delta update to 10.5.4 (http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosx1054update.html) - Update to 10.5.5 via update through http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosx1055update.html WITH netkas tutorial.
