usb thingies won't mount unless pc is restarted! (lol it's funny to say pc)

well you guys know the problem, mouse and keyboard won't moiunt unless the computer is restarted, i know there's a guide to that, but that page is way to complicated, can somebody put me into a right direction.

thanks to forum, i am dual booting now to vista x64 and kalyway 10.5.2, lol spent 5 hours on this.
