winfo
Hi folks, I have been screwing around with OSx86 for quite some time now and have successfully installed different "distributions" from 10.4.8 up to 10.5.5... but I always encounter one BIG problem: my WiFi doesn't work!!! :-( I have a ThinkPad R40 with built-in (MiniPCI) Atheros AR5001X Wireless Network Adapter. Its vendor id is "168c" and its device id is "12". I tried so many ways to get it working, but everything I tried, didnt work... :-( Who is able to supply me some experience, hints, help? I would be VERY happy and thankful if I could somehow manage to get this card working. Thanks in advance, Chris Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/130990-atheros-ar5001x/ Share on other sites
benjabean1
Well, my id is 1c, but I managed to get it working, almost. I have a patched version of IO80211Family right here: IO80211Family.kext.tar.gz But you will also need KisMAC 2.9.9 to stumble upon the networks. Then you can connect to whichever network you please and be online! P.S. If you have Snow Leopard, I suggest you use the latest version of KisMAC.
