Poodle of Death
Hi, I just installed the Kalyway 10.5.2 release with theStevo 4.5 patch, there were no problems during install, but when I wanted to reboot after install, OS X starts to boot, I get to see the circle for ~5 seconds, but then the system freezes, a grey box appears asking me to restart the computer. I did this about 5 times, but nothing changes. My hardware: MoBo: AsRock 4CoreDual-SATA2, some 1.x BIOS CPU: Intel Pentium D 935 Graphics: ATi Radeon x1600 pro (AGP) RAM: 2 GB DDR2 (don't know which brand) Thanks, Felix edit: I booted with -v option, I get the following message: The errors start after the message "localhost DirectoryService[37]: Couldn't find root user. Sleeping and trying again.".
Poodle of Death
I just tried booting with -x (safe mode), that seemed to fix the original problem, but now the system freezes a bit later: ocalhost mds[19]: (/.Spotlight-V100/Store-V1/Stores/DR240A1A-4210-429C-A930-85D6DDEB6E08)(Error) IndexCI in ContentIndexOpenBulk:No index NTFS volume name , version 3.1. Directly before the freeze, a disk seems to spin up (or die, it doesn't sound nice). Please help me! Thanks again, Felix
