I have a dell latop with the following spec: DELL Latitude C640 (1st generation) Intel Pentium 4 (mobile) 1.7GHz 20GB Hard Drive 256MB RAM Currently running Windows XP SP2 flawlessly. First of all, would any version of OS X work on this system? Secondly, where could I find the necessary files to install it? kytzu Posted October 13, 2008 Share Posted October 13, 2008 with 256 Ram you can have Tiger only (ver 10.4.x). Also check with cpuz, if you have sse3 is ok, if you have sse2 you need a special kernel. Check also at Hardware Compatibility List your video card (without QI/CE is usless tu install OSX).
