Bitslong
Installed Kalyway 10.5.2 today, working a treat but I installed on a 20Gig partition and now trying to make a partition on my 2nd drive but in Disk Utility it can't format it as Mac Extended (anything). The drives are set up like this: HDA 500GB ICH8R: 20GB Primary Leopard, 480GB Extended (2xNTFS drives) HDB 1000GB Jmicron: 30GB Primary WinXP, ~850GB Extended(2x NTFS drives), 60GB Primary Unformatted - this is where I want to copy to. No matter what I do, I've tried Gparted, PQ magic, Disk Manager and Disk Utility it refuses (in Disk Utility) to format as Mac Extended. I can erase as FAT fine but when I try Mac Extended it just shows an unmounted drive, or invalid BS_jmpBoot in boot block: 000000 error. Anyone know if it's some problem with large drives? I've tried setting flags in Gparted, no luck.
Khan_Man
I've heard there are big problems with Jmicron controllers. You might want to look into that. Khan
