rinOne
Hello, Recently i found out that i could try out Leopard on a PC. But since my computer is pretty old, and it's parts are quite rare, i wanted to ask if it will run Leopard (I have Kalyway 10.5.1). Here are the specs: CPU Type AMD Athlon 64, 2200 MHz (11 x 200) 3500+ Motherboard Name MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum (MS-7025) (5 PCI, 1 AGP, 4 DDR DIMM, Audio, Dual Gigabit LAN, IEEE-1394) Motherboard Chipset nVIDIA nForce3 Ultra, BIOS Type Award (11/22/04) Video Adapter RADEON X800 PRO/GTO (256 MB) Video Adapter RADEON X800 PRO/GTO (256 MB) 3D Accelerator ATI Radeon X800 Pro (R420) Monitor Samsung SyncMaster 226CW (Analog) [22" LCD] (HS1Q102928) Monitor Samsung SyncMaster 226CW (Digital) [22" LCD] (HS1Q102942) Audio Adapter Realtek ALC850 @ nVIDIA nForce3 250 (CK8S) - Audio Codec Interface IDE Controller NVIDIA nForce3 250 Parallel ATA Controller IDE Controller NVIDIA nForce3 250 Serial ATA Controller IDE Controller NVIDIA nForce3 250 Serial ATA Disk Drive ST3120827AS ATA Device (120 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA) Disk Drive ST3802110A ATA Device (80 GB, 7200 RPM, Ultra-ATA/100) Optical Drive LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1653S ATA Device (DVD+R9:4x, DVD+RW:16x/4x, DVD-RW:12x/4x, DVD-ROM:16x, CD:48x/24x/48x DVD+RW/DVD-RW) The question is if it is possible for me to install Leopard on a additional HD and run it as dualboot, without loosing my Vista Ultimate setup ? If yes, can you recommend some specific guide? Thanks in Advance.

Guys, can i run OS X on my computer or not ? Can you recommend some guides ? Which DVD (build) would be better to use in my case ? P.S. CPU-z told my that my cpu is sse2 compatible. P.P.S. Forget the dualboot, i would settle for just a Leopard boot.
FrostyRevolution
I have a somewhat similar build. Most likely you will be able to get it to run but nowhere near as well as if it was running on an Intel. My AMD Hackintosh runs but it has a few major problems. First it doesn't auto detect USB devices which can be a hassle and doesn't support ethernet unless you can find a kext for it. I am currently running Kalyway on it but I am switching to Leo4all tomorrow too see if that fixes any of the problems. Good luck.

rinOne
Are you talking about Leo4All or about Kalyway with AMD support ? Thanks in advance. Update: I tried installing Kalyway with AMD support, the first time i got stuck at the gray apple logo and loading sign, next time when i tried to install i got to a black screen which comes after the apple logo and loading sign, but i cant get past it. When i try to run -v it gives me lots of text but still loads into the black screen with some odd green defects. Any ideas guys ? How can i copy the error log ? What might be the problem ? I can specify exactly what i selected in the customize menu if it will help. Thanks in advance. P.S. i have ati radeon x800 pro, k8n neo2 platinum mother board, maybe those hardware items are cauisng the issues ?

Ok , so i did a -legacy -x run, and it gave me a kernel panic, it says that : "AppleNForceATA: Error: your chipset isn't supported by this kext. Is there any WORKAROUND ? Is this because of my mobo, can i do something about it ?

parachute
Sorry for bumping, but after reading Nick14's post, I did it and prepared a how-to post for nForce3 AMD chipset: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...d=1133737 Maybe it helps somebody. Edit: Dual booting with multiple HDD's is easy. Hit ESC or F12 while booting and select the HDD to boot. Using one HDD, try GRUB, it's perfect.
