Leopard su Intel impressioni e problemi

Salve a tutti, non ricordo come, ho scopero che si poteva installare Leopard su un Pc normale Intel.

Visto la mia piu totale inesperienza in tale settore, e la mia relativa pace psichica degli ultimi tempi, ho voluto rovinarmi un pò la vita.

 

Possiedo un PC con:

Processore INTEL P4 CPU 3.60 GHZ CPU CLOCK 3.67GHZ

MASTERIZZATORE DVD IDE TSST CORP SH-W

HARD DISK IDE MAXTOR 6L200P0 da 200GB PATA133

Mouse e Tastiera Usb + Tastiera normale collegate

2gb di Ram

e una SCHEDA MADRE ABIT IL8

 

Ho provato a installare Leopard da una Immagine tirata giu dalla Baia con qualcosa come Leo4all 10.5.2 AMD y INTEL SSEE2 e cosi via.

 

L'installazione è andata a buon fine nonostante non mi rilevasse l'hard disk. Prima ho provato a fargli una formattazione a Basso Livello con Il Maxtor... Poi visto che ci voleva un fottio ho interrotto a 1 quinto del processo e creato una immagine MAC OS EXTENDED dalla finestra UTILITY del DVD.... ( e secondo me solo quest'ultima azione meriterebbe un sacco di errori).

 

Premetto anche che non so perchè, se voi ricordate l'UTILITY del DVD quando si va a visualizzare l'Hard DIsk a lato c'è prima il nome dell'hard disk e poi sotto il nome della partizione, l'har disk risulta partizionato in DOS (senza possibilità di ripartizionarlo in MAC OS) mentre la partizione di giu risulta MAC OS extended (come ho accennato prima)

 

Vabbè, l'installazione credo sia andata bene. in 20 minuti ha installato tutto, dodpodichè all'avvio mi dice STILL WAITING FOR ROOT DEVICE.. CHE SIGNIFICA cosa ho sbagliato?

il problema è il chipset scheda madre non riconosciuto...

potresti provare a settare su AHCI e vedere se parte...

Come faccio a vedere il chipset e a impostare AHCI.

 

 

Visto che non sapevo che fare nel frattempo ho svarionato un pò ho reintnizializzato tutto un paio di volte, riallocato, ripartizionato e cosi via, adesso ho tolto la spunta non so dove A MBR e ho fatto GUID (perchè parlava di intel e cose cosi..) dopodichè ho creato una partizione MAC OS JOURNALED e sto installando.

QUESTO E' L'HARD DISK SU CUI HO XP non QUELLO SU CUI HO MESSO LEO CHE E' DESCRITTO SOPRA.

Allora svarionando un pò su Internet ho trovato questa soluzione che proverò appena arrivo a casa.

 

OSX86 | How to Fix OSX86 Still Waiting For Root Device Error

These are instructions on how you might be able to fix the OSX86 "Still Waiting for Root Device" error.

 

These instructions may not work for you; however, I am publishing this method since the solution may save someone hours of frustration. This fix was confirmed working for someone who had successfully installed leo4all v3 and upon reboot received the above error. In this case the cause of the error is due to incompatible or incorrect kexts for your ATA controller.

 

Step One

Boot up using the LeoV3 DVD as if you are going to install Mac OS X again.

 

Step Two

Select Terminal from the Installer's Utility Menu.

 

Step Three

Now we are going to copy all the the ATA kexts from the install DVD to your hard drive. To do this enter a command like this:

cp -pr /Volumes/Leo4allv3/System/Library/Extensions/*ATA* /Volumes/MacHD/System/Library/Extensions/.

 

NOTE*: Replace Leo4allv3 with the name of your install dvd and replace MacHD with the name of your hard drive volume.

 

Step Four

Now we need to set the permissions for those kexts we copied

chown -R root:wheel /Volumes/MacHD/System/Library/Extensions/*ATA*

chmod -R 755 /Volumes/MacHD/System/Library/Extensions/*ATA*

 

NOTE*: Replace MacHD with the name of your hard drive volume.

 

Step Five

To remove the kextcache execute the following:

rm -rf /Volumes/MacHD/System/Library/Extensions.*

 

Note* Replace MacHD with the name of your drive volume.

 

Step Six

You may now restart your computer. I would suggest pressing F8 while booting and then entering -f as a boot option to force reloading of the kexts.

There are many causes of the "Still waiting for root device" error so please don't assume this will fix your problem. It is however a possible solution.

 

altri invece propongono di installare il tutto tramite lettore DVD USB (io possiedo una scatoletta che fa diventare gli HARD DISK IDE, USB, USO QUELLA?
