googly Posted October 10, 2008 Share Posted October 10, 2008 Ok having an issue where im getting the ERROR: FireWire Security STALL only when the POWER (AC) cord is disconnected from the LAPTOPS (Yes LAPTOPS have tried on 3 different models all end in the same result, same error. 3 different makers also pretty much same chipset/cpu's (all intel SSE2 kernels)) Anyone know what the fix is for this issue??? Laptops BOOT perfectly when AC is plugged in JAS 10.4.8 boots install runs with and without AC cord (off battery) but alot of devices dont work so tried the 10.4.11 XxX all devices work flawless but damn laptops WILL NOT BOOT off BATTERY ALONE. Ok Got 1 of the laptops to boot by changing some BIOS options via disabling power mgmt/cpu speed The other 2 dont have this option so whats the deal with them both booting in 10.4.8 JaS but not in 10.4.11 XxX Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
