Prepatched OSX will not detect SATA hard drive

I've been fighting with this for about 3 days now and no matter what I try I can't seem to get it working. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this problem. I am currently trying to install a Prepatched OSX on my HP6500 Pavillion. I found a set of instructions from http://osx86.thefreesuite.com and there was a step by step guide telling me how to install it with an AMD processor. Oh ya, I am runnning with a AMD Turion64 x2, 3GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce7150M/nForce650M, 160GB SATA drive. I've done what was asked, in formatting a partition through Vista, keeping it RAW and then through diskpart.exe setting the swap to 0xAF and also setting the partition active. I can boot into the OSX setup DVD (which by the way is made by Kalyway) go to the disk utility and I want to format the drive to HFS+ but I can't. The Disk Utility sees everything but my internal HDD, it sees my DVDROM, and even my external hard drive (which by the way is in NTFS) but not the internal one. Any ideas?
