i always get to the screen where i need to erase my partition,

i'v already created my partition using partition magic 8 and formatting it to a size of 190gb and set to fat32,

when i click to erase, (extended journal0, it says that there is an I/O error, and other times there is an underlying problem,

it is then dismounted and cannot be used,

i can't get any further than this,

it's obviouly a case of how i partition the disk in windows, i'v followed the fdisk commands as well, and still there is a problem.

my system has an asus deluxe motherboard, quadcore intel processor, 4gb ram, SATA ii 750 single hard disk, dvd rw ram drive,

full sysstem spec is here:

http://www.cube247.co.uk/?customise=39

i'm using kalyway 10.5.1, and boot by pressing f8 and typing in CPUS=1 -X-V

cheers
