assassinm4 Posted October 6, 2008 Share Posted October 6, 2008 hi guys, i've been looking up whole forum and checked every possible thread that tells me what to do, but i'm still stuck at the big grey apple in startup, before the OS is even loaded. empty HDD + iDeneb v1.3 MacOSX installation > Disk utility > Partition, MBR, mac os extended (journaled) + FAT32> Erase mac os extended > Installation> Reboot> then stuck... tried million different combinations in the installion.. is there anything that i havent done it yet? i've been staying up til 6am since i couldnt fix this.. thanks in advance, Lawrence Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
dakine Posted October 6, 2008 Share Posted October 6, 2008 It would help if you let us know what your computer specs are. Also have you tried to boot OS X using the -v flag. The -v flag would should give you some more information on bootup to help troubleshoot the problem. The wiki at osx86project.org is also a great place for people just starting, for information on hardware and software compatibility problems. The wiki at osx86project.org is also a great place for people just starting, for information on hardware and software compatibility problems. very sorry i forgot putting the spec out i've been reading complains about this thanks dakine for the help MB : Asus P5N32E-SLI CPU : Intel C2D 6300 @ 1.86Ghz (SSE3) Kingston 2gb DDR2 800 x 4 PCI-E : XFX GF 7900 GS x2 SLI i've checked the osx86 wiki.. it's quite likely its not the hardware compatibility problem, i've just ticked all the chipset and this is what showed up on my screen with -v loading on darwin kernel v.9.2.2 AppleNForceATA : sata phy reset done.
