rdougan
Hi, I have been trying to install Leopard onto my new Vostro 1300 now for a few days now. I have a few different distros: - Kalyway 10.5.2 - iDeneb 10.5.5 & 10.5.4 - JaS 10.5.4 Client/Server Kalyway seems to be the only one I can get to boot/install. This is if I do NOT select the Vanilla kernal. I can update Kalyway to 10.5.3 using the JaS combo update, however when I try to update to 10.5.4/10.5.5 I get a continuous reboot when you try to boot into leopard. In all other distros I can install Leopard using each of the different kernals however when I boot, the computer just restarts and continues to loop just like above. I'm pretty sure this is something todo witht eh kernal version. When I install Kalyway 10.5.2 the Kernal is 9.1.0 ToH. Anyone got any idea what's going wrong? The spec of the computer is as follows: Another quick question; how do I find out the chipset for my laptop? On all the distros I do not select any chipset as I do not know what it is. Do I need to? Many thanks
