Parker
With crackling, open audio midi setup Under Properties For: chose the 'other' listing for your AC97 sound, and you should now get options for the output. Change to 48 there and it should get clear. I have no idea about right side though - havent been able to find a solution. skeewiff
Sorry it was a False Alarm I was so happy... It was a mistake I made just to say that I have a soundblaster and the sound is stereo but in a few minutes it becomes crackling To get sound from my Via inboard I have to unplug the sondblaster PCI card I continue experimenting Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12960-any-solution-to-the-via-sound-left-channel-problem/#findComment-85187 Share on other sites
dripple
I had runned into the same problem with my onboard AC97 soundchip (VIA), sound only left (but without crackles). I've tried every tip found in this board (and some others) but didn't figure out how to get it work. Then I found an old usb-soundchip (cheap thing from a discounter for around 10€) plugged it in and it works with charm! dripple Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12960-any-solution-to-the-via-sound-left-channel-problem/#findComment-85207 Share on other sites
