Brennagan Posted October 2, 2008 Share Posted October 2, 2008 Hi I have Vista installed on my internal hard drive and mac installed on an external hard drive the time is right on vista untill after i boot up mac once but in mac the time is right. This is a minor problem but i was wondering if it was fixable? The problem is that Mac assumes the BIOS clock is set to universal (UTC) time and Vista assumes it's set to local time. When the respective OSs sync up, they set the BIOS clock to their preferred format. The way to fix it is to tell Vista to use UTC time instead of local time. Check out this post for a step-by-step on how to fix it: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?aut...p;showentry=408 You can also do the timezone fix, but it may cause issues with daylight savings, depending on the timezone you select. If you do the UTC fix, it both OSs will be correct.
