MauiAC Posted March 23, 2006 Share Posted March 23, 2006 Hello there, I' just trying to get 10.4.3 8f1099 running on my beloved Workstation. My System consists of the following components: AMD Athlon64 3700+ (SanDiego Core) (SH-E4) Asus A8N-SLI Premium (BIOS 1011-006) 2 x 1GB DDR400 RAM (Corsair RAM running CL2) PCI-E: nVidia Geforce 7800GT (256MB) PCI: Skystar 1 DVB-S Card in I have two harddisks connected one PATA and one SATA disk The PATA one is a WDC WD2000BB-22GUC0. The SATA (actually SATA2 I think) disk is a Maxtor 7V300F0 (V600VMSG). I intend to run Mac OS as second partition on my Primary Master PATA Disk. However I failed with installing using different guides. dd'ing Deadmoo to the disk ended wth the OS not booting and stating "Still waiting for root device" and the DVD referred above won't even boot always failing with a kernel panic right after stating something about Apple16X50UARTSync1 panic CPU 0 caller 0xC0196F60 usw. Has someone else succesfully installed 10.4.3 to a similar HW configuration. Any help is appreciated. Just ask me if some information is missing.
