Ok guys I am sorry if some one has all ready posted a answer to this topic. I searched and could not find anything. Anyways I have a dell dimension 8300 with a p4 3.0ghz 1gig of ram and 120gig hard drive. I downloaded a 10.4.4 iso and used that to install osX and everything went perfectly. Until it came time to reboot that is. I will not start it just sits there with the cursor blinking. I have disable hyperthreading and done all the other required steps. I am also fairly positive that everything is setup correctly in the bios. Has anyone else encountered this problem and if so how did you fix it? Thanks in advance for all your help.

I'm not entirely sure what hardware lies in your Dell, but can't think of HT being an issue (I never disabled mine on my Gateway 7322GZ which as a 2.8 Prescott HT proc)

I can recomend trying to boot from your install DVD and check your HDD for proper permissions using Disk Utility from the tools menu after the OS X installer splash pops up.

Sorry I can't be of much further help at this time.
