I have installed Kalyway 10.5.2 and it works fine but when my system boots it doesn't display the apple sign and rotating cursor, it just displays all the white writing every time(Found AppleNforceATA etc etc....) Is there anyway to make it use the apple logo rather than watching it find the hardware/settings etc...

System:

AMD 64 X2 4200+ SKT939

Foxccon 6150BK8MC-KRSHGeforce6150B + nForce430 chipset

2 Gig Ram 400MHZ

Geforce 8400GS-256Meg

using PATA for install

P.S. I have tryed installing Zephyroth 10.5.2 Rev 2 and that displays the apple logo and cusor fine from dvd setup but the installation fails at the end

Thanks

To get the logo you will need to edit the apple.boot.com.plist and remove -v from the kernel flags section.

The file can be found in: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/

Good luck.

Thanks for that, works great! Just how I wanted it to LOL

I have one last problem, my lan has a 169.254.xxx.xxx ip number and it should be 192.168.xxx.xxx

Do you know how to get it working correctly, I have installed the forcedeth driver during install, I have seen this problem around in the fourms before but i'm not sure what I need to do to sort the problem out...

Thanks for your help
