Lawless 10.5.4 (amd) interesting issues AMD 64 bit

After install of the cd worked great, other than having to use a usb ethernet device. default os works good for the most part, recently i have been noticing system lockups. Nothing seems to be related to hardware via the logs and no kernel panics. Also programs like adobe reader/gimp will not start. Camino craps out now and again as does frost wire, amule does not start. I am wondering if it possible permissions install causing this. This is the log of the last crash.
