total noob and osx86 on vaio sz3xp/c

Hi all

I'm a total noob in osx86 world and in mac world and I want to try OSX in real environment (vmware sucks - Anyway I'm IT manager for almost 10 years in windows and linux world so don't be scared to be too technical )

 

I have two options:

 

- OSX retail install (boot-123 cd and then swap)

- iDeneb 1.3 v10.5.5

 

1- boot 123 boots correctly, recognize my gma950 as 82945GM (correct, I suppose) and then I swap dvd and boot starts (-v option, just in case). Leopard retail boots, try to starts installation procedures, and then freeze on blue screen. Non signs. DVD unit stops to spin.

 

2- iDeneb boots correctly and start installation procedures. I select intel patches, audio patches and gma 950 video and then install. Everything works fine, but when I reboot osx hangs at startup with strange colored line screen, a lot of thin vertical colored lines that get lighter and darker and then stop. I tried -v options, -x options, color mode set to 1280x800@60 (my internal lcd native res) but no luck

 

so, the main question: which should be the preferred method for a wannabe-osx like me? I suppose the second with already pached iso and then, how can i solve my video issue? It must be something stupid as regular macs has gma950... why my gma950 refuse to work?

 

I tried jas 10.4.8 and it works (1024x768 only, but it works) but I want something up to date to start with
