MindlessDrone
So let me start by saying I am very new to the Hackintosh world and I installed 10.5.2 last night into a Mac Mini like clone. Everything went great the system is running awesome, all my hardware works just find with the exception of the graphics card. The mobo is running an intel 965MG chipset and the graphics card is a built in X3100. I am using an LCD monitor via DVI but the resolution is stuck at 1024x768. I of course would like to find a way to bump it up to 1280x1024. Does anyone know of the best fix out there for this. I know there is a lot out there on this but being such a noob it is hard to determine which fix works best. As a side note I will be attempting the 10.5.5 upgrade tonight, I am not sure if that will change anything!
MindlessDrone
I guess what I am looking for here is a noob guide to update and making the x3100 work right at all resolutions. I am a total noob so if there is an easier method to try first I just needed to be pointed in the right direction! Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.
