dontbeefkeith
Hi all, This is my first experimentation with vanilla install on my G33 ds2r using a retail dvd, the 132-boot cd and then after installing the chameleon package. How far we have come since deadmoo... I've edited the kernel flags in the boot.plist to point to the mac partition (rd=disk0s2 in my case) but on rebooting it still goes straight to the hard disk selection screen. Am I missing something, I've read and searched but it seems anything i put in the boot plist is ignored. Any help is greatly appreciated keef Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/128134-chameleon132-boot-cd-bootplist-woes/ Share on other sites
dontbeefkeith
Ok sorted it, the boot.plist only responds to the UUID of the disk not the rd= command. (rd=disk0s2) so my kernel flags in the boot plist reads like: <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string> boot-uuid=XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX</string> Find your UUID in diskutility: select the partition and file>get info. Look at the Universal Unique Identifier. No need to beef about it our kess just does what the man says and it'll be mustard... keef Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/128134-chameleon132-boot-cd-bootplist-woes/#findComment-921375 Share on other sites
