Hi all,

This is my first experimentation with vanilla install on my G33 ds2r using a retail dvd, the 132-boot cd and then after installing the chameleon package. How far we have come since deadmoo... :)

I've edited the kernel flags in the boot.plist to point to the mac partition (rd=disk0s2 in my case) but on rebooting it still goes straight to the hard disk selection screen.

Am I missing something, I've read and searched but it seems anything i put in the boot plist is ignored.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Ok sorted it,

the boot.plist only responds to the UUID of the disk not the rd= command. (rd=disk0s2)

so my kernel flags in the boot plist reads like:

<key>Kernel Flags</key>

<string> boot-uuid=XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX</string>

Find your UUID in diskutility: select the partition and file>get info. Look at the Universal Unique Identifier.

No need to beef about it our kess just does what the man says and it'll be mustard...
