osx86amd64 Posted September 25, 2008 Share Posted September 25, 2008 Hi all, I'm planning to buy a HP dv4z or dv5z with the following customized specs: Processor: AMD Turion™ X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor ZM-82 (2.2 GHz) Display: 14.1" diagonal WXGA High-Definition HP LED Widescreen Display (1280 x 800) Memory: 4GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm) GPU: ATI Radeon HD 3200 on dv4z OR ATI Radeon HD 4350 on dv5z Wireless: Wireless-N Card with Bluetooth Has built in webcam and mic. DVD Burner: LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-RW with Double Layer I'm leaninng towards AMD since I think the new Puma series from AMD is much better and efficient than Intel Core 2 Duo. Also, I don't have any plans to play games except do video editing. I don't know what brand of wireless card is on HP notebooks. I know the Intel ones don't work. Can somebody just guide me on what works and what doesn't work. I'm more concerned on the GPU and wireless stuff. Thanks to all and appreciate assistance.
