K3ONI Posted September 24, 2008 Share Posted September 24, 2008 I just replaced today my wifi mini-pci card, a cisco aironet that came with the laptop, with a broadcom BCM94306MP that i had laying around. Yeah i had to patch my BIOS to allow me to do this swap as Thinkpads may be a pain regarding the hardware that they accept, the so called whitelist they have in BIOS. I am running at this point a 10.5.1 version of Leopard and seems that the Broadcom was recognized from the time i rebooted the laptop. Whoora, this wifi cards are cheap, like $10 on Ebay.
