I have tried adding the Broadcom model number (4315) to the file: - /System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAirPortBrcm4311.kext/Info.plist But the card doesnt seem to show in System Profiler->Hardware->PCI Cards or in Network->Airport Card The wireless card works fine in windows vista. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? The IO80211Family.kext is red, does that signify anything? I used the Kalway 10.5.2 installation. Ash McConnell Posted September 23, 2008 Author Share Posted September 23, 2008 Hi Folks, Just to let people know I got it working I downloaded the bcm43xx_enabler_0.5.1pre.sh file (others didnt work) from http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=51725 I had tried a few other things, so i think my Kext was messed up somehow, The kernel started panicing. I needed to copy back the original backup of the IO80211Family.kext. Only then run the script, it was then - after that it was detected as an Airport card.
