Hey guys :(

I own an ASRock 4Core1333-FullHD motherboard. It has an ATI RS600 chipset (SB600 SATA controller)

My setup has a sata disk on SATA-1. My DVD drive is on PATA primary master.

The bios version is 1.70.

I have a genuine retail leopard dvd, and tried with various boot-132 disks to boot, but the result is the same as kalyway, jas, brazil, leo4all etc: Booting the hangs (different kind of hangings). I don't get an installer screen.

I have set the XD bit, and my cpu is a Q6600

Any ideas? My collection of OS/X dvds is starting to grow :(

Hi torretje,

I think the reason why your system hangs is due to the drivers for your PATA devices. (It happened on my Acer Extensa 4420).

You can try AppleATIATA.kext on this link to see if it works:

hi i used this mobo some time ago.

be sure to have bios version 1.0! no updates!

i had same error with all dvds i tried (tiger).

only after flashing bios back the dvdinstaller would come up.

board is a fine one!

regards

Do you by chance remember what iso you used? I have tried over 14 different releases including the vmware image and have my firmware down to 1.0

All it does is boot for 1 second and then crashed? and reboots :\

I've tried a lot and cant get it to work, i'd appreciate some help

You must downgrade bios at 1.30 version.
