torretje
Hey guys I own an ASRock 4Core1333-FullHD motherboard. It has an ATI RS600 chipset (SB600 SATA controller) My setup has a sata disk on SATA-1. My DVD drive is on PATA primary master. The bios version is 1.70. I have a genuine retail leopard dvd, and tried with various boot-132 disks to boot, but the result is the same as kalyway, jas, brazil, leo4all etc: Booting the hangs (different kind of hangings). I don't get an installer screen. I have set the XD bit, and my cpu is a Q6600 Any ideas? My collection of OS/X dvds is starting to grow

My collection of OS/X dvds is starting to grow Hi torretje, I think the reason why your system hangs is due to the drivers for your PATA devices. (It happened on my Acer Extensa 4420). You can try AppleATIATA.kext on this link to see if it works: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=51961 Chun-Nan
