gtzpower Posted September 22, 2008 Share Posted September 22, 2008 Hey all, I bought an Inspiron 1720 with the Intel GMA X3100 specifically spec'd to run OS X, but little did I know that the X3100 wouldn't go to 1920x1200. So, last night after i accidentally ripped out the headphone jack, I thought... I wonder if I can pay dell to upgrade the video card/motherboard while they have it to fix the headphone jack? So, before I pay them much $$$$, I would like to make sure that someone has the Nvidia cards running at that resolution. I don't want to make the same mistake twice ya know? Thanks! Unfortunately, Dell won't let me upgrade during the repair, but hey, they are replacing the motherboard under warranty at least I can live with 1680x1050 till my next laptop I guess (which will be a MBP if they ever implement a FULL keyboard with number pad!)....
