dennytmlam
Hi, I recently installed 10.4.5 on my Dell 700m, everything is great except for the missing Video Card and Wireless card drivers, but i have faith that some great programmer will solve it sooner. But my computer always overheats and resets. There is no CPU temperature monitor that actually work. I installed the MBS temperature monitor but it can only detect the SMART Hard drive Temperature. The Harddrive temperature starts out at 32 and climbs to 40 and then the laptop automatically resets. I can feel the heat by the CPU. The CPU. This mostly happens when i plug the power in the laptop. I think the CPU fan is not running at full speed. When I run on batteries the temperature is lower. Using the Activity monitor, i figure out my usage is low (less than 10) so i don’t think it is related to the TPM, also version 10.4.5 doesn’t seem to have APPLETPMCPI.kext Kernal_task is using 0.2 % of the CPU so i don’t think its because of the Mini-PCI although i tried disabling it in the bios. I tried platform=X86PC and platform=ACPI but still no luck. I have tried everything in the forms and still no change, but i installed the battery monitor hack, not sure if this will affect it ?
