pookycade
Using 10.4.5 on a Dell Inspiron 9300 (Sigmatel Ven ID 8086, Dev ID 266e). Sound cuts out / skips and pauses every 1/2 second or so. Update: Solved this myself. Turns out I disabled Speedstep when first installing osx86 because I was having install issues and thought that might be the problem. Well if you disable Speedstep the sound doesn't work so well. Reenabled speedstep and everything is running great, even the GUI sped up tremendously. lotus49
This is interesting. I had the same problem with my Compaq nc4200 but only on battery power. The solution for me was the exact opposite. I disable SpeedStep and now sound works well on mains power and on battery power.
