iox
Hello all. I am using 10.5.4. I just did a reinstall today and I keep having this odd problem. I've been looking over the forums but I can't find any help for my problem. I have an Asus barebone Pundit P5945G. My sound is an ADI AD1988b. I've done several installs and the only thing that works is Taruga's AD1988B rev3 installer. It works wonders. The sound starts working as soon as I run it, but after a reboot it stops. Has anyone run into this before, because I am at a lost. Is there a way to remove the audio kexts and start from scratch? I've attached my audio information from system profiler. It's listed as recognized, but its not working. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/127196-having-trouble-with-ad1988b-sound/ Share on other sites
iox
Ok I found this link on Taruga's wiki. I'm not the only one having this problem. As of now I don't think there is a fix for it.
