After weeks upon of reinstalls, black screens, kernal panics, freezes etc. Everything is working fine.. System is more stable with 2gb, when I use anything above that I run into serious problems which force me to reinstall again and again.

Motherboard: Asus striker extreme

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E660 Conroe 2.4Ghz (Overclocked to 3.0ghz)

Graphics card: PNY Nvidia Geforce 8600GT (Silent now because of the heatsink I took of my en 7600gs)

HDD: IDE Seagate 400mb (osx86) 2 Sata drives (1 for XP 1 for my Music)

A couple other harddrives and 1 External 120GB small hd for Timemachine

RAM: (2GB DDR2 800MHZ ATA Ram) Use 2Gb even if you have more.

IDE CD/DVD DRIVE

Cpu heatsink: Tuniq Tower 120

Case: Antec p180

Mac pro keyboard and mouse.

2 x Acer AL2216W monitor 23Inch

Internet cuts out on a regular basis so I will soon try out the apple usb ethernet adaptor.

Use nvinstaller by punk to make the 8500gt work with both qe + ci and all resolutions. No flashing or file modifications required.

Do not install parallels or vmware fusion.

Keep windows xp and osx86 on different harddrives.

This is what worked for me.
