Phoenity
I really wanna try Osx86 on my pc, and i've been reading as much as i can in the forums and the wiki, but i'm still confused. I have a Dell Dimension 4600 (not the 4600c), and I haven' t done much to it. I have a 120gb hard drive, a dvd burner, and a gig of memory, but that's it as far as upgrades. Can anyone help me with the things i need to get so osx can run smooth? I'll post whatever hardware info needed so someone can give me a little advice. Lkr
sounds good. whats your video card, processor, and sound however? and how do you connect to the internet? hopefully DSL or Cable(or better), but by wireless network, wired network, or directly to the modem? Phoenity
processor: intel pentium 4 2.4 Ghz HT (it can handle sse and sse2) video card: nVidia GForce audio card: Creative SB Live! Series i have a cable modem thru a router, a wireless pci card, and the modem's in the next room. and i think i need a new motherboard, cuz the mini-tower case i want has USB, sound and firewire ports above the disk drives, but my stock dell motherboard routes the ports through the bottom front of the case, under the power button. and i upgraded from like 512 megs of ram to a gig, but one stick (256) isn't reading, so it says it's at 768.
