bradL Posted September 18, 2008 Share Posted September 18, 2008 I'm using iDeneb dvd to install leopard. I get all the way to the disk util screen but my hd or anything it's listed to format. verdant Posted September 19, 2008 Share Posted September 19, 2008 Well the target one is 24.4 gig and I've tried NFTS, Unallocated, and right now it's FAT32 That should be OK and capable of being formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled)......the problem seems to be with the installer boot kexts for SATA/PATA versus your MOBO SATA/PATA chipsets and HDD......check this thread first to see if others with your series laptop have had the same problem...... :angry2: Let me know if the thread is any help......
