knewsom
10.5.4, Leo4Allv3, mostly vanilla, Darwin bootloader. restored from my last Time Machine backup using the Leo4Allv3 disk, computer will not boot. ...am I missing something here? Do I need to somehow reinstall Darwin? Why didn't that restore with the rest of my boot volume? Tried a search on this, came up empty handed, maybe I need better search parameters... -K Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/126612-failed-1055-update-time-machine-restore-wont-boot/ Share on other sites
araz
I read that the Time Machine has a kernel included which doesnt allow you to boot after a Time Machine Restore. Somehow the wrong kernel can be changed or replaced. Probably search for that. knewsom
Why would Time Machine install ANY kernel other than the one included in one's backup..? I'm pretty sure this isn't a kernel issue anyways, as I'm not even getting my Darwin Bootloader. Is there a way to install that without having to start over from scratch again? Thanks in advance folks. -K Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/126612-failed-1055-update-time-machine-restore-wont-boot/#findComment-895405 Share on other sites
