Help installing on a 20" iMac

I've followed the process in the wiki, including using the custom xom.efi file for the 20" iMac. However, once Windows boots and I am at the partitioning screen, it does not look as it should. The partition that I had formated as MS-DOS during the first part (installing OSX), gets erased by the bootloader and shows up as "unpartitioned space" in the Windows installer (the log screen says ERASING for any MS-DOS partitions it finds). Therefore it doesn't have C: next to it. I can go ahead and install it there anyway, but then it won't boot and complains about an MBR error. I suppose this has to do with the fact that the Windows installer always puts boot files in what it thinks is C:, even if the Windows installation actually resides somewhere else, like say D: or F:.

Can someone help me? What am I doing wrong? Is there something I need to do so the bootloader does not erase the existing MS-DOS partition?

thanks!
