mrbig,

I don't know about your T23, but I have OS X running just fine under a T40. Support for IBM hardware under OS X is quite good, so I wouldn't be surprised if it works for you as well. Another good resource is the Hardware Compatiblity List that can be found from the front page of the wiki. I know there are a number of ThinkPad's listed so you might be able to find some information there about how well your system will work.

I have an old IBM T23 with a 1.2G PIII CPU. Is it possible to install the Mac OS X to this machine? Thanks.

nope, sorry.

I tried that a while ago, and everything just panics and crashes.

The 10.4.1 image crashes at boot.

Install DVDs of 10.4.3 crash at installation boot.

It seems at minimum, you need at least a Pentium M chip of 1.5ghz or faster, with the associated motherboard chipset.

As the previous post mentions, a T40 will do, and there are reports of working T30s.

Hi there!

I'm new in that forum and try my best with my english.

I have a Thinkpad T40 237325G and tried several times to get OS-X86 running on it.

but it won't and i don't know why???

i tried it be the ubuntu-way (linux). a self booting cd with an linux-distrbution. I'm sure you guys know about that tuff. when i start to copy the image-file via the linux-TERMINAL of os-x86, it starts but 3 seconds later i get the error-message, that my disk space is empty. hey i mean i have a 80gig hitachi drive and i think that should be enough for TIGER. is it need to format the disc before? i thought copying the image-file will erase the disc automaticly.

are some special tipps you can give me how to get os-x86 running on my system? i don't use torrent, just the donkey...

if you guys could help it would be very nice... (i'll never give up, i don't wanna buy such a notebook loke MAC Book Pro - my thinkpad is still my best "friend")
