notilas
Hi, I think I safely installed Kalyway 10.5.2 into 3 machines. 1. KPC 45 2. KPC 48 3. Gigabyte G33 board All works fine including time machine fix and video, audio....everything except the system restore. I can make backup from time machine, but when I try to restore the system from backup (not disk image) it simply doesn't start(it stops at the restore screen warning about "this will delete all files...."). When the system fails, I reboot from DVD and choose "Restore system from backup", but nothing happens. I wait aroung 10miutes, should I need to wait longer? All 3 system doesn't work. Curious....~~
tle88
Use Kalyway_leo_10.5.1.iso Format Your target disk guid and install efi_8.0 After installation: Boot again with DVD. In terminal: diskutil list fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 (Your's disk number) p f 2 (mbr=1, guid=2) write yes exit reboot , take dvd out. Now Your's bootdisk right second partition is activated. After that You can use boot dvd disk to repack Yours TimeMachine copy. Hope this helps. Tuure -.- Edit: This works for me. Edit 2: Reactivate disk again after repacking, if it is necessary. WACOMalt
I have the same problem on the Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD I have: 1TB eSATA drive with my Time Machine backups of when the system worked. 500GB SATA drive (GUID) that I want to restore to. (Leo install just doesn't want to work on it.. So restore is my only option) 20GB IDE drive (just for random swap space) 250GB SATA Windows Drive I simply cannot get OS X to install on the 500, using the same method as worked before I get a failed install saying it failed to copy files to "/Volumes/WACintosh/" Reformatted many times to no avail. SMART status is fine on this drive, and windows can partition it fine. Anyways, what should I do? will the above instructions solve my issue?
