dripple
At least, my setup works fine. But i have a problem with DMG-Files which I have downloaded: Most of them, and every larger one (means: more than a few MB) won't mount or even install because of checksum errors from the disk utility. I tried to mount the DMG which was downloaded by my PC and this works. Any ideas? dripple Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12562-downloaded-dmgs-dont-work/ Share on other sites
dripple
Hmmm... Strange. I tried to download iTunes with Firefox. And this seems to work... Is there a Bug in Safari? puduska
I have a similar problem! I can't mount large DMG files! During verify I get some errors like invalid checksum or codec ovverride. If I skip the verify mounting dmg goes fine. I'm running 10.4.6 How can I fix it? EDIT: the files extracted in this way don't work... bofors
This could indicate that you have some bad memory (but I doubt it). Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12562-downloaded-dmgs-dont-work/#findComment-120928 Share on other sites
dripple
I fixed the problem a few days later: It seems that a Mac OS X partition cant resident AFTER Windows XP on the SAME drive. Moving OS X to another drive or rearanging the partition order solves this (and many other) problems. puduska
I don't understand exactly what i have to do... I have dual boot XP/OSX so my disk has two partition. What I have to do? puduska
I resolve the problem. Strangely all the dms files on my external hard disk were corrupted. I've tried new dmg files and they work fine. Yeah! andrea Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12562-downloaded-dmgs-dont-work/#findComment-121414 Share on other sites
dripple
Hmm. Take a closer look at the external drive. Does the Finder AND Disk Utility report the same same values for used and free space? With my external 300GB Drive, Finder reports "correct" Values, but the Disk Utility reports only a 128 GB drive, so all new files created on this drive were corrupted.
