I have been running a Kalyway 10.5.3 combo, updated from the Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD, happily. After updating to the latest iTunes 8 and QuickTime updates, the USB hard disks does not hot-plug or show up automatically in Finder.

Following the suggestion of checking the kext version (9.2.2) and kernel version by uname -v (9.2.0), I download mach_9.2.2_IntelSSE3.EFI and start 9.2.2 via typing the new kernel in Darwin boot loader ( http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=97041 )

After started in 9.2.2 (verified with uname -v), USB hard disk hot-plugs correctly and Finder add the device properly.

However, in 9.2.2, there is a kernel panic when starting VMWare Fusion (2.0 rc1), which used to be ok in kernel 9.2.0

Any suggestions?

Thank you ~
