When I install from Myzar 10.4.4/5 on my Dev clone, I get this wierd anomoly with the display, but only in Normal Mode. In Safe Mode the display looks fine.

The first two pics show Normal Mode boot and the 3rd pic shows booting into Safe Mode (with sys specs).

Please help me to discover what's going on. I'd value your opinion if you have some info about this. Thnx!

@ johan: --> video is BIOS is set for:

Primary Video Adapter: [Auto]

Frame Buffer Size: [ 8MB]

IGD Aperature Size: [128MB]

DVMT MODE: [DVMT]

IGD DVMT/FIXED MEMORY: [Maximum DVMT]

As soon as you mentioned that though, I got to thinking that perhaps apple has set their machines up using a set memory amount for video instead of dynamic; or that EFI handles it differently than BIOS, so I am going to test a static amount of video memory.

Please let me know what settings you're using that work. Thnx!

@Unstable Connection: --> I'm not too sure about how to go about re-installing kexts by themselves. Also, I figureed that all the Intel chipset kexts would be part of the base OS X setup, since Apple is using an Intel Chipset mobo. Please advise on these points. Thnx!

Anyone else with info, your opinons are appreciated as well. Thnx!

Update!!! After setting the video settings in BIOS from what they were, to:

Primary Video Adapter: [Auto]

Frame Buffer Size: [ 32MB]

IGD Aperature Size: [256MB]

DVMT MODE: [FIXED]

IGD DVMT/FIXED MEMORY: [128MB]

---> The system now boots very fast (40-45 seconds from hitting the power switch) and all graphics operation run great! Both CI and QE working great!

If other people have BIOS configs that work as well for Integrated Graphics, post them also, so everyone can benefit from having more options available to them.
