BillDivX
I currently have a hackintosh running 10.5.2 Kalyway. Most things work great but I have a few issues: 1) Sometimes hangs during boot. Looks like it gets stuck loading the USB driver 2) Sometimes on boot mouse will not respond or will be unpredictable. 3) USB drives only appear when plugged in during boot 4) I am tired of getting prompted for Apple update, so I would like to get on 10.5.4 if possible 5) I forgot my root password (doh!) Since this install was my initial attempt, and suffered through much experimenting, I am thinking that I might be well off attempting to do a fresh install with a newer version, particularly since I have read forum threads about #3 and possibly #1 and #2 being related to a bad USB driver in 10.5.2 Kalyway. So, what is the news on 10.5.4 clean install and update packages? is anyone having luck with them yet? if not, how about 10.5.3? I can't find good compatibility lists like I can for 10.5.2. Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4ghz ASUS P35 2GB ram Nvidia 8800 GT On board Sound, Network, and SATA worked in 10.5.2 without any kexts. What would be the best Mac OSX package to try?
