CalaverX11
I'm running OS X Leopard 10.5.4 Retail on a Dell OptiPlex 755n. Intel Core2 Quad 4GB DDR2 800MHz 160GB SATA-2 in AHCI mode NVIDIA Quadro NVS 290 x16 The install works 95% with only one modified plist file. I had to install a PCI ethernet card (the onboard 1Gb NIC isn't supported), and I don't have sound. But those aren't my issues. I installed using an EFI loader CD, and have been using this CD to boot from (in USB stick form) since the install. The partition table on my disk is GUID formatted HFS+. What I'm wondering is, can I boot straight from the hard disk? Do I need to revert back to MBR or MS-DOS-style partition table? What tool(s) do I need to accomplish this without completely blowing away my install, if possible? I already searched the forums, but I'm afraid I'm not savvy enough to follow vague "do this" instructions. I found various "tutorials" on using boot-132, but I can't find any kind of specific how-to on what exactly I'm supposed to copy where. Any help would be appreciated.
