I have a 10.4.10 disk that was installed and working fine until I intalled Ubuntu, and then whenever I tried to boot osx, (READ THIS QUESTION THOUGH TO THE ENTIRETY BEFORE YOU EXIT OUT!!!)

it had the still waiting on root device error... Now before you exit out like oh, this is too common do your reasearch....

I HAVE AN IDE HARD DRIVE THAT IT WORKED ON BEFORE...

this is a common error for SATA and no so much for IDE....

what is the issue on this as I have uninstalled Ubuntu, and tried to have the one hard drive only on the cable, and it still doesn't work....

Now I do still have Vista installed on the machine, but I don't want to just restart on the drive because then I will have to reinstall windows, I will have to reimpliment all of the files that I backed up reinstall the virus scanner, and office, and all of my programming shells, and everything else....

IS there a way to solve this without just restarting....

Thanks for any REAL help...
