art vandelay Posted September 8, 2008 Share Posted September 8, 2008 i did a reinstall of tiger on my mac mini. it's the intel mac mini with a core 2 duo, 1.83ghz. but now speedstep doesn't work, and the minimum fan speed is screwed up. it won't go down to 1500 rpms, only 3500 or so. i tried doing the soft-smc reset, but it didn't really work. i know there's the button inside to do it, but there's no way i'm going through the procedure to open it again. any suggestions?
