What is the ven ID, Device ID, etc. When you turn on your computer, run verbose mode. Hit F8 and then type -v ususually a Dell 1390 is listed as a Brcm43xx does that show? Does anything show in the under network in system prefs? Any wireless indication in the upper right hand corner?
