Artmuzz
Okay, so I installed my GeForce 8600GTS card into my computer and booted Kalyway 10.5.2. Everything booted nice and smooth and I then installed Leopard Graphics Update 1.0 and NVInstaller v4.1 and rebooted. When computer reboots back into Leopard I succesfully get dual display working I also see on the system information that QE and CI are both supported aswell BUT.......... I have one problem. My Geforce 8600GTS resolution only goes up to 1280x800 Also, when I selected 1280x800 I find that I get a black band on each side of the screen Is there something wrong? On HCL 10.5.2 it says that to get my 8600GTS working properly I have to Erase and change Device IDs How do I do this ? Does anyone have the Terminal command that I can copy and paste to get the resolution of my card at its proper maximum resolution? Please help Artmuzz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/124588-geforce-8600gts-1280x800-is-maximum-resolution-i-can-get-help/ Share on other sites

Artmuzz
Is the reason I am only getting maximum resolution of 1280x800 is because my display monitor's native resolution is 1280x800? Please advise Artmuzz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/124588-geforce-8600gts-1280x800-is-maximum-resolution-i-can-get-help/#findComment-884292 Share on other sites
