djm88
Hi Guys, I'm thinking of buying a cheap laptop (Toshiba Satellite Pro L300). Just wondering if anyone has any advice about whether the following parts (copied from Ingram Micro's website) are going to be picked up and installed/used with iATKOS 4.0i or kalyway? My biggest concern is Wired LAN/Wireless LAN (as I'm a network admin so I use both these constantly - although wireless more often than LAN). Under Communication Devices, it mentions: COMMS : V.92 data + fax modem, Integrated Intel 10/100mbps Tx Ethernet Integrated Realtek 802.11 b/g Although I'm not quite sure of what chipset :censored2: Any help would be greatly appreciated PROC : Intel Celeron Processor M550 (2.0GHz, 533MHz FSB, 1MB L2 cache) CHIPSET: Mobile Intel GL960 Express Chipset MEM : 1GB DDR2 667 expandable to 2GB# (one slot used, one slot free) STORAGE: 120GB (5400 rpm) 2.5-inch SATA HDD OPTICAL DRIVE: DVD Supermulti Dual/Double Layer(DVDRRW,DVDR(DL)DVD-RAM) Read: CD-ROM(24x), DVD-ROM(8x) Write: CD-R 24x, CD-RW 4x DISPLAY: 15.4-inch WXGA Active Matrix 200NIT (1280 x 800 resolution) WEB CAM: Integrated Web Camera PROC : Intel Celeron Processor M550 (2.0GHz, 533MHz FSB, 1MB L2 cache) CHIPSET: Mobile Intel GL960 Express Chipset MEM : 1GB DDR2 667 expandable to 2GB# (one slot used, one slot free) STORAGE: 120GB (5400 rpm) 2.5-inch SATA HDD OPTICAL DRIVE: DVD Supermulti Dual/Double Layer(DVDRRW,DVDR(DL)DVD-RAM) Read: CD-ROM(24x), DVD-ROM(8x) Write: CD-R 24x, CD-RW 4x DISPLAY: 15.4-inch WXGA Active Matrix 200NIT (1280 x 800 resolution) WEB CAM: Integrated Web Camera COMMS : V.92 data + fax modem, Integrated Intel 10/100mbps Tx Ethernet Integrated Realtek 802.11 b/g SLOT : Express card slot I/O PORTS: RGB, 3 x USB 2.0, V.92 data + fax modem, 10/100Mbps Ethernet LAN, Headphone & microphone port, Bridge media Reader/Writer slot (SD, MMC, Mem Stick/Mem Stick Pro, XD), Integrated microphone GRAPHICS : Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 with up to 256MB shared graphics memory (when 1GB fitted) AUDIO : Intel High Definition Audio, Stereo Speakers POWER : 6 cell Lithium-Ion battery (up to 3 hours) OS : Windows Vista Home Basic SLOT : Express card slot I/O PORTS: RGB, 3 x USB 2.0, V.92 data + fax modem, 10/100Mbps Ethernet LAN, Headphone & microphone port, Bridge media Reader/Writer slot (SD, MMC, Mem Stick/Mem Stick Pro, XD), Integrated microphone GRAPHICS : Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 with up to 256MB shared graphics memory (when 1GB fitted) AUDIO : Intel High Definition Audio, Stereo Speakers POWER : 6 cell Lithium-Ion battery (up to 3 hours) OS : Windows Vista Home Basic Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/124539-thinking-of-buying-cheap-hackintosh-laptop/ Share on other sites
