biobak
Hi, I have prepared a destination partition on my HDD for mac osx. I made a 2nd primary partition with diskpart with the 'create partition primary id=af'. All went well and all my screens match the screen in the easy to use guide. So now i got 2 primary partitions, one where my XP is running on and the second one for the MAC OSX 10.4.5 installation. I set the second partition active. When i booting with the Mac osx dvd and I choose my language etc I come at the 'select a destination' screen. But I can’t choose a partition, the fields are empty. Why can’t I select my newly created partition for the installation? Someone got a answer on that? tnx in advance greets Bio
biobak
Oh sorry I bothered ya'll. I found this answer in the second FAQ. [[Then shutdown/reboot your install DVD. If you get past the language selection, choose Disk Utility from the Utilities menu, then click the new partition listed (usually a name like s0d2), and erase it. Request the OS X Journaled format. Then when that's done, quit the Disk Utility and continue installing.]]
