leminz
UPDATE:After the startup crashes, it saves a crashlog file into the system library now, it is just a bunch of numbers and letters to me but it does say something about String 0 Crashed what could this be? Is there any way to modify it or just skip over it all together? Help would be much appreciated thanks! First of all, helloooooo My name is Miles, and i need some assistance. I have recently installed iAtkos 2.0i on my Vostro 1500 (specs below) MANY times over, with different specs trying to tweak it and get it to work but i have encountered the same problem each time. I press the power button -> BIOS -> Darwin -> Apple screen -> Small gray spinning wheel stops turning all of the sudden. Although i am able to start it in -x safe mode, that is not enough as i have to install my video and audio drivers (which i have had no luck getting done in safe mode) i have tried installing drivers with the linux dump file and the patcher, no go NVinstaller doesnt work either. The resolution of my screen is f*cked to hell and i really need to get my video card going with some quartz extreme for final cut! not that it matters to anyone but this is esential to my school classes and if i cant get my video or audio to work i will FAIL so whoever may have a kind heart out there please help <3 possibly a different iAtkos ISO? install method? this same issue occured with Kalyway... so i am at a loss it would be so good to have a response, or some help or something other people have successfully installed this on their 1500's, so i am REALLY wondering why I cant do it myself why it isnt even booting correctly could just mean i am doomed to be restricted from osx forever... which would blow alot... any good opinions WOULD BE SO OMG SO SO OPPRECIATED THAT I WOULD LOVE YOU iAtkos 2.0i w/ -Main system -Darwin bootloader -Broadcom 440 ethernet Dell Vostro 1500 :: Processor Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 1.8 GHz :: Mainboard Intel PM965 :: Memory 2048 MB, DDR2, PC5300, 667 MHz, 2x1024MB, max. 4096MB :: Graphics adapter NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT - 256 MB, Core: 475 MHz, Memory: 400 MHz :: Display 15.4 Zoll 16:10, 1280x800 pixel, WXGA TFT Display, glossy: no :: Harddisk 160 GB - 5400 rpm, 160GB 5400rpm Seagate Momentus ST9160821AS :: Soundcard SigmaTel STAC9205 :: Connections 1 Express Card 54mm, 4 USB, 1 Firewire, 1 VGA, (Dual Link)1 S-Video, 1 Modem, 1 Kensington Lock, Audio Connections: Headphone, Microphone, Card Reader: 8in1, :: Networking 10/100 MBit Lan Adapter , Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN Intel, 2.0+EDR Bluetooth

leminz
post the output of cpus=1 -v please ther is no chance to copy it as it runs through the entire process in verbose and doesnt stall once. going right to the blue screen and then black again. ima reisntall osx and see if it isnt any driver that i tried to install messin it up
Demonik
Its a good sign that it isnt stalling anymore.. The video driver could be what is botching it up but it could be something else.

Demonik
Yeah after i told you that you should check the video driver i rememberd you said you could boot in to safe mode which would be impossible if the video didnt work. okay. You could simply try another release.. Im using Jas 10.5.4 Server/Client. I dont have to boot with cpus=1 for this release. Try it
