HackRMac
Hey, I've had Leopard running on my Dell 6400 for the past 6 months or there abouts, but recently i built a new pc, tried the install method i used for my dell laptop, and it got stuck at the apple logo whilst booting the CD prior to install So i was wondering if i post my hardware, if you could tell me whether or not its possible, and if you can explain how and what disk/version of leopard ie, leo4all or kalyway etc. ps. if you tell me to search, i already have, and it confuses me Hardware: processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 HD:500GB 16MB cache hard drive RAM: 4GB DDR2 667MHZ PC5300 M/b: ASRock 4Core1333-GLAN graphics card: nvidia 8500GT 1GB If you can help, your awsome! Your MOBO has Intel P31/G31 NB chipset Intel ICH7 SB Chipset 7.1 Channel HD Audio (ALC888 Audio Codec) Realtek RTL8111B/RTL8111C onboard LAN Is your HDD a SATA or PATA drive? Is your DVDRW a SATA or PATA drive? Have you got your BIOS set to AHCI if that is an option? If not, what are your BIOS options for SATA and IDE? You also need to set in BIOS Execute Disable Bit [Enabled] ACPI APIC Support [Enabled] ACPI Suspend Mode [s3] or [s1] or [s1 and S3]

Execute Disable Bit [Enabled] ......this may be XD in your BIOS ACPI APIC Support [Enabled].......any option for APIC ? (ie kalyway etc) after trying to boot with the same cd as i used with my Dell (-v), it came up with this error, Extension "com.apple.driver.appleACPIPlatform" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.kpi components use only one style
